One Sweet Day (Acapella) by Boys II Men & Mariah Carey
My biggest regret is my God Brother, Bryan Oscar Olmedo. I didn’t spend as much time with him as I should have and now I never will. I heard many stories that he was getting into the same problems as my God Father with drinking and getting tattoos. I just feel like I should have done something when I thought about it the instant I did… I didn’t react quick enough and now… now its too late. Bryan, you were such a jerk back when we were kids! Haha but I’m glad you were in my life. You were always so silly. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there for you to help you or just listen to what you had to say. Being at your funeral was… I can’t even describe it… Just painful. Please forgive me. I promise I will do my best to never hesitate to follow my instincts ever again. If you’re watching me from up there I’m asking you to give me strength. You were much more brave than I ever was. It should be you here not me. Bryan, you punk, I hope I can make you proud. 30 Day Letter Challenge RRR-REMiX!
I decided to do this challenge as a countdown, so starting with day 30 :D
Day 30 — Your reflection in the mirror
Mirror Mirror in the bathroom…
I’m 18, not in the olympics, not auditioning for SYTYCD, not going to a university, on hold to go into the Air Force, and don’t have a car. I’m too sensitive. I hold everything in. I’m scared. I don’t feel like I’m strong enough. I don’t have the courage to put my foot down because I’m afraid you might leave me. I try so hard for Christian. I’ve seen his ex and sad to say I compare myself. I’m not blessed with colored eyes like my sister but I do think my eyes are a great feature. I don’t have big boobs but I think my hips make up for it. I’m not light skinned. I’m not able to party like I want to so I think you may think I’m not as fun as her. I do like to take care of my body. I’m a bit boy-ish still. Then after awhile I shake every insecurity out and start being confident. You can’t blame me I’m a female and I have my doubts about myself and I wonder more than I should.. I just want to be the only one for you that’s why I worry so. Dearest reflection, there are days when you disgust me and I wish I could just punch you until you shatter but for the most part, I love you. I love who you have become and are becoming right before my eyes. I show you all of my imperfections and complain about them with my bestfriend at times and I must say thanks for putting up with it all. I’m not flawless but I think that’s what makes me perfect.

Hallelujah by The Vitamin String Quartet
This string remake of the original song sounds like a tribute to the celebration of life and all of its ordinary miracles. This song inspires me to keep going when things are taking a turn for the worst. I was a bit upset when I found out Elite team would be dancing to this song but I still think they represented it well.
